   Try your local freecycle website.
   freecycle is worldwide and you join your local group and give away stuff you no longer have any use for. Emails are posted to the group and you get emails back requesting the stuff. Then you give it to whom you choose. Likewise you can ask for other peoples items and even post a wanted item to see if someone has stored an item and forgotten about it.
